Peter Sutton

Social Media Sociologist, Kai Ming Consulting

Peter describes himself as social media sociologist.

Holding the hearts and minds of his clients and audiences, he sensitively weaves his international experiences of dealing with death, reputational disaster and social media misadventure online.

So much, so one client describes Peter, ‘…as the Red Adair of social media’ after the famous American oil well firefighter.

He believes online negativity should not be the norm, and social media can have a social benefit.

This ties into his fascination with pioneering new forms of social connectedness and community celebration.

Peter combines his down-to-earth approach and his background as an international educator to cut through it all and deliver; to schools, government, non-profits and large corporations.

He keeps a strategic focus on audience needs and developing a clients’ in-house capabilities to strengthen delivery across the spectrum of platforms and technologies.

Peter's ongoing commitment to education has been recognised in Australia with his naming in The Educator magazine’s 2016 Hot List of 40 individuals, '...who all share a common goal of improving Australian education and have dedicated their careers to doing so'.
